A primeira polia anular (denominada A1) é uma faixa fibrosa localizada sobre a articulação metacarpofalângica (MCF). Ela se estende da placa palmar da articulação MCF até a base da falange proximal, envolvendo os tendões do músculo flexor superficial dos dedos (FSD) e do músculo flexor profundo dos dedos (FPD). Ela mantém o alinhamento dos tendões, previne o arqueamento em corda de arco e é o local mais comum do dedo em gatilho (tenossinovite estenosante).
