The body of humerus presents four surfaces:
On the lateral surface is the deltoid tuberosity for insertion of deltoid muscle. This tuberosity extends distally on the caudal surface of humerus as the humeral crest. The broad musculospiral groove spirals over the lateral aspect of the body, for the passage of the brachial muscle and radial nerve. On the distal part of the lateral surface is the lateral supracondylar crest, running to the lateral epicondyle.
