Definition

The supraorbital margin of each eye socket is made up of the frontal bone, which is why it's called the frontal part of orbital margin. This sharp edge divides the squamous and orbital parts of frontal bone. The lateral part of this edge is sharp and prominent, while the medial part is smoother and more rounded.

The frontal bone extends downward along the inner and outer edges of the eye sockets, connecting with the maxillary and zygomatic bones, respectively. This means it also helps form the inner and outer edges of the eye socket.
