Truncus
Definition
The trunk or torso is an anatomical term for the central or axial part of the human body, from which extend the neck and the limbs. It comprises of the thorax, abdomen, pelvis and the back regions. The thorax is also referred to as the upper trunk or upper torso, while abdomen and pelvis comprise the lower trunk or lower torso.
