Intertrochanteric line - Linea intertrochanterica

The intertrochanteric line is located on the cranial surface of the proximal extremity of the femur, running from lesser trochanter to head of femur.

Nb 1: it is not present on in pigs.

NB2: it should not be confused with the intertrochanteric crest that is located on the caudal surface of femur.
