vet-Anatomy the interactive atlas of veterinary anatomy
vet-Anatomy is an interactive atlas of veterinary anatomy based on medical imaging. vet-Anaotmy has been created on the same framework than the popular award-wining e-Anatomy, but dedicated to animals, under the direction of Dr. Susanne AEB Boroffka, dipl. ECVDI, PhD.
Lateral tarsal collateral ligament - Ligamentum collaterale tarsi laterale
The lateral tarsal collateral ligament consists of the two following parts:
The long lateral tarsal collateral ligament extends between the lateral malleolus and the base of the lateral metatarsal bones, attaching also to the lateral tarsal bones along its course.
The short lateral tarsal collateral ligament runs deep to the long lateral collateral ligament. It arises from the lateral malleolus and attaches with one branch to the calcaneus and one branch to the talus.
