Ramus of mandible - Ramus mandibulae

Description

The ramus of the mandible is one of the two parts that form the mandible: The body and the ramus.

They are both flattened from one side to the other and their connexion forms an angle.

The ramus, caudal and vertical, articulates with the temporal bone and receives the insertions of the masticatory muscles.
