Subextensor recess - Recessus subextensorius

Description

The subextensor recess is a synovial extension of femorotibial joint beneath the tendon of origin of the long digital extensor muscle and (excepted in carnivores) fibularis tertius muscle, as it passes through the extensor groove of tibia.
