Descripción

The external sagittal crest (Crista sagittalis externa) is a median sagittal crest on the dorsal surface of the squama It is only developed in Equidae, Camelidae, Carnivorous, some Primates and is mostly made of the interparietal bone. It forks into two temporal lines (Linea temporales), that diverge rostrally on the parietal and frontal bones to delimitate the temporal fossa.
