The gall bladder is a sac-like that lies in a fossa on the visceral surface of the liver close to the hepatic porta, that stores the bile and discharges it into the duodenum when necessary.

  • The fundus of gallbladder is the rounded cranial end of the gallbladder .
  • The body of gallbladder is the large middle portion.
  • The neck of gallbladder is the slender, tapering caudodorsally directed extremity that is connected to the cystic duct.

There is no gall-bladder in the horse.
