Troisième poulie cruciforme
Ligamentum cruciformis tertium
Définition
La troisième poulie cruciforme (C3) est une fine bandelette fibreuse en forme de croix qui fait partie de la gaine fibreuse fléchisseure du doigt. Elle est située entre la quatrième poulie annulaire (A4) et la cinquième poulie annulaire (A5), immédiatement en proximal de l'articulation interphalangienne distale (IPD).
Sa fonction principale est de maintenir la souplesse et la continuité de la gaine fibreuse, lui permettant de s'adapter à la flexion et à l'extension du doigt tout en assurant un glissement fluide du tendon et en empêchant la gaine de se plier ou de se tordre.
