뇌실막

정의
뇌실막은 뇌실계통의 상피 내벽을 형성하는 중추신경계통의 결합조직세포(또는 신경아교세포)의 한 종류입니다. 뇌실막세포라고도 불리는 이 세포들은 밀착연접을 통해 서로 긴밀하게 연결되어 혈액과 뇌척수액 사이의 장벽을 형성합니다. 뇌실막세포의 기저끝은 기저막 위에 놓여 있으며(뇌실강에서 멀어지는 방향), 첨단면은 뇌실강을 향합니다. 뇌실 내에서 뇌척수액의 이동을 돕기 위해 첨단면에 섬모와 미세융모를 가지고 있습니다.
연질막의 접힌 층이 세동맥과 함께(known as the tela choroida) 뇌실강 안으로 침입하면, 뇌실막 내벽에 의해 둘러싸이게 됩니다. 이 조합을 맥락얼기라고 하며, 맥락막층(혈관성 연질막)과 뇌실막(맥락막 상피)으로 구성됩니다. 맥락얼기 내의 뇌실막세포는 입방형 형태를 가지며, 뇌실강을 향하는 첨단면에 섬모와 미세융모가 있습니다. 맥락얼기의 일부로서, 뇌실막은 뇌척수액 생성에 기여합니다.
