뇌막가지(되돌이가지 또는 뇌막가지)는 중간뇌막동맥과 함께 가시구멍을 통해 두개골 안으로 들어갑니다. 앞가지와 뒤가지의 두 가지로 나뉘며, 이 가지들은 동맥의 주요 분지를 따라 주행하면서 경질뇌척수막(경막)에 분포합니다. 뒤가지는 꼭지벌집의 점막에도 분포하며, 앞가지는 위턱신경의 뇌막가지와 교통합니다.
