Adductor tubercle

Tuberculum aductorium

Definition

The adductor tubercle is a notable bony protrusion located at the peak of the medial condyle of the femur, marking the termination of the medial supracondylar line. It serves as a point of attachment for the lowermost portion of the adductor magnus muscle.

The adductor tubercle is positioned anteroinferiorly in relation to the medial epicondyle of the femur. The medial epicondyle is the most prominent point on the medial condyle of the femur and provides attachment for the tibial collateral ligament.
