Area intercondylaris anterior
Definition
The anterior intercondylar area is the portion of the intercondylar area located in front of the intercondylar eminence.
From front to back, the anterior intercondylar area serves as the attachment site for various structures, including: 1) the anterior horn of the medial meniscus, 2) the anterior cruciate ligament, and 3) the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus.
