Definition

The articular facet of head of fibula is a circular surface situated on the superior side of the fibula's head. It forms a joint connection with the lateral condyle of the tibia, creating the superior tibiofibular joint. The margins of this facet serve as attachment points for the capsular ligament of the superior tibiofibular joint.
