Iliopubic eminence

Eminentia iliopubica

Definition

The iliopubic eminence is the elevated bony region found laterally to the pectineal surface of the superior pubic ramus. The eminence is positioned anteriorly and medially to the acetabulum. It’s important to observe that the superior or pectineal border of the superior pubic ramus passes behind the iliopubic eminence and joins the arcuate line of ilium, collectively forming the iliopectineal line.
