Sulcus intraparietalis

Definition

Intraparietal sulcus is a sulcus found on the lateral surface of the parietal lobe, situated behind the postcentral gyrus (or the primary sensory area). The horizontal sulcus acts as a divided, separating the parietal lobe into two parts: the superior and inferior parietal lobules or gyri.
