Definition

The lateral intercondylar tubercle is the elevated bony prominence that signifies the lateral boundary of the intercondylar eminence within the intercondylar region. It corresponds to the raised medial edge of the articular surface of the lateral condyle of the tibia.

Similarly, the medial intercondylar tubercle demarcates the medial extent of the intercondylar eminence.
