Definition

The marginal branch of cingulate sulcus is the posterior continuation of the cingulate sulcus as it arches upwards behind the paracentral lobule, forming its posterior border. It is visible on the medial surface of the cerebral hemisphere and serves as a boundary between the paracentral lobule in the front and the precuneus at the back.
