Definition

The orbital part of frontal bone, also known as pars orbitalis, is the horizontal portion of the frontal bone that stretches back from the supraorbital margin. It is made up of two thin triangular plates, known as the orbital plates. These plates create the roof of the right and left eye sockets and are separated from each other by a gap in the middle, called the ethmoidal notch.
