Facies articularis calcanea posterior

Definition

The posterior calcaneal articular facet is situated on the inferior surface of the body of talus. It is a large oval facet that articulates with the corresponding posterior talar articular surface on the middle of the dorsal surface of calcaneus to form the subtalar joint.
