Superior frontal sulcus

Sulcus frontalis superior

Definition

The superior frontal sulcus is positioned horizontally and is found in front of the upper portion of the precentral sulcus. It separates the middle frontal gyrus below from the superior frontal gyrus above. These two gyri are aligned parallel to each other.
