Groove for accessory ligament of femur - Sulcus ligamenti accessorii ossis femoris

Description

in horses, the groove for accessory ligament of femur (pubic groove) is located on the ventral surface of the iliopubic eminence. It leads to the acetabulum, through which passes the accessory ligament of the head of femur.
