Short sesamoid ligaments - Ligamentorum sesamoidea brevia

Description

In carnivores, the short sesamoidean ligaments are thin, flat band that extend from the distal ends of each pair of palmar sesamoid bones adjacent to the synovial membrane of the joint capsule and are attached to the palmar side of the proximal phalanx.
