Description

The vertebral arch (or neural arch) forms the vertebral foramen dorsally and laterally (the body forming the ventral part).

Each vertebral arch is composed by:

  • Two lateral pedicles (roots of the arch inserted on the body)
  • One dorsal plate called lamina of vertebral arch
