Infraspinatus and Supraspinatus Tendinopathy

Evidence of subtotal partial tear of the supraspinatus tendon with only thin fibers still attached in the anterior bursal aspect associated with surrounding soft tissue edema, high signal intensity within the supraspinatus muscle, cystic changes and moderate muscle atrophy.

The infraspinatus tendon shows thickening and increased signal intensity adjacent to its humeral attachment associated with adjacent cystic changes, suggestive of tendinosis.

Subchondral degenerative changes noted within the supero-lateral aspect of the humeral head.

Mild amount of fluid seen within the superior subscapular recess.

Hypertrophic osteoarthritic changes of the acromio-clavicular joint impinging upon the underlying supraspinatus tendon.

Other rotator cuff tendons show no degeneration and no signs of tear.
