Ligamentum anulare quartum
Definizione
La quarta puleggia anulare (A4) è una robusta banda fibrosa situata lungo la falange media di ciascun dito. Fa parte dello strato fibroso flessore che racchiude i tendini del muscolo flessore superficiale delle dita (FDS) e del muscolo flessore profondo delle dita (FDP).
La puleggia A4 è fondamentale per mantenere i tendini flessori vicini all'osso mentre attraversano la falange media, prevenendo l'effetto archetto e garantendo una flessione delle dita fluida ed efficiente, in particolare a livello delle articolazioni interfalangee prossimali e distali.
