모루뼈의 긴다리(crus longum; long process)는 망치뼈의 자루 뒤에서 자루와 거의 평행하게 수직으로 내려가다가, 안쪽으로 굽어지며 둥근 돌출부인 렌즈돌기로 끝납니다. 렌즈돌기는 연골로 덮여 있으며, 등자뼈의 머리와 관절을 이룹니다.
