IMAIOS is rolling out a new version of e-Anatomy and vet-Anatomy’s interface and anatomy atlases to make them more ergonomic. Our main concern being your experience as a user, your suggestions have been taken into account to incorporate a greater ease of use.

In a previous article, we looked at the performance aspects of the viewer’s new version, which enables you to display the images and illustrations of e-Anatomy and vet-Anatomy. Let's take a closer look at what has changed in terms of ergonomics.

The interface of the viewer has been redesigned, improving user experience being the main objective. We have based ourselves on your suggestions, usage habits and also incorporated new browser technologies, therefore offering you a more intuitive and easy way to use the webapp.
We are committed to accompanying you in your daily practice. Your role is crucial to improve patient outcomes and with a greater volume of exams to interpret, solutions to promote efficiency and productivity are fundamental.

The main new features

dark mode (default):

Very popular, dark mode is more agreeable, especially in radiology interpretation rooms where it is dark.

a new function for the filters:

Some areas have numerous anatomical structures filters. We have added switches for each filter that make it easier to read in a visual way the selected filters. A filter can contain sub-filters, which can also be activated / disabled via a switch.

a label in the form of a pin:

The default display of labels can be changed to view them in the form of pins. The name of the label appears when you hover the cursor of the mouse over the pin. By clicking on the pin, the label remains displayed.

an anatomical structure panel:

When you click on a label, a panel with the description of the anatomical structure opens on the left and gives you multiple possibilities to reach a specific image through the image gallery. From this gallery, you can also view the entire series of images from other modules, allowing you to quickly find the images you are looking for.

managing of the opacity of overlays:

The position of the cursor determines the opacity or transparency of the overlays that localize the regions of the anatomical structures.
