Definição
A segunda polia cruzada (C2) é uma faixa fibrosa delgada, em forma de cruz, que faz parte do estrato fibroso flexor de cada dígito da mão. Situa-se entre a terceira (A3) e a quarta (A4) polias anulares, aproximadamente sobre a falange média, imediatamente distal à articulação interfalângica proximal (IFP).
Sua principal função é manter o alinhamento e a flexibilidade do estrato fibroso, permitindo que ele se dobre suavemente durante a flexão dos dedos, mantendo os tendões flexores deslizando livremente e impedindo qualquer dobramento ou arqueamento do estrato fibroso.
