Middle digital crease of digits of hand

The middle digital crease (also called the middle digital flexion crease) is a transverse skin fold located on the volar (palmar) surface of the fingers, overlying the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint. It is the middle of the three digital flexion creases found on each finger (index through little finger), situated between the proximal digital crease (near the metacarpophalangeal joint) and the distal digital crease (near the distal interphalangeal joint).
