Ligamentum cruciformis primum
Definición
La primera polea cruciforme (C1) es una delgada banda fibrosa en forma de cruz que forma parte de la vaina fibrosa flexora del dedo. Se localiza entre el segundo ligamento anular (A2) y el tercer ligamento anular (A3), a lo largo de la cara palmar, inmediatamente proximal a la articulación interfalángica proximal (IFP).
Su función principal es proporcionar flexibilidad a la vaina fibrosa, permitiéndole plegarse y ajustarse conforme el dedo se flexiona y se extiende, al tiempo que mantiene el deslizamiento fluido de los tendones flexores y previene el acodamiento de la vaina.
