Le sillon bulbo-pontin est un sillon distinct qui délimite la frontière entre la moelle allongée et le bord inférieur du pont. Trois nerfs crâniens émergent de ce sillon selon un arrangement médial-latéral : le nerf abducens (nerf crânien VI), le nerf facial (nerf crânien VII) et le nerf vestibulocochléaire (nerf crânien VIII).
