갈비뼈 몸통의 바깥면은 볼록하고 매끄러우며, 결절보다 약간 앞쪽에 아래쪽 및 가쪽 방향으로 향하는 두드러진 선이 있습니다. 이 선은 엉덩갈비근의 힘줄이 붙는곳이 되며, 갈비각이라고 합니다.
