엉치뼈등쪽면의 정중선에는 능선이 있으며, 이를 정중엉치뼈능선 (middle sacral crest)이라 하고, 위쪽으로 세 개 또는 네 개의 결절이 있으며, 이는 위쪽 세 개 또는 네 개의 엉치뼈척추의 흔적가시돌기입니다.
