Spinalgebiet X (Rexed-Lamina X) bezeichnet die graue Substanz, die den Zentralkanal des Rückenmarks umgibt, auch bekannt als zentrale intermediäre Substanz des Rückenmarks. Es umfasst die hintere (dorsale) und die vordere (ventrale) graue Kommissur, die sich jeweils dorsal bzw. ventral des Zentralkanals befinden. Die vordere graue Kommissur verbindet die Vorderhörner der grauen Substanz auf der rechten und linken Seite des Rückenmarks, während die hintere graue Kommissur die Hinterhörner der grauen Substanz zwischen den beiden Rückenmarkshälften miteinander verbindet.
